The Primo Levi Centre<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Primo Levi Centre is a paris-based leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and support of survivors of torture and political violence exiled in France. The center welcomes more than 400 people from nearly 50 different countries every year for multidisciplinary treatment. Drawing from its 30 years of experience in trauma-informed care, the Primo Levi Centre educates and trains professionals and volunteers working with exiles to promote appropriate care. It also uses this experience to regularly advocate to politicians, policy makers, and enterprises for better access to health care, to raise awareness on mental health, and ensure appropriate care for survivors of torture.<\/p>\n\n\n

Multidisciplinary Treatment <\/h3>\n

\n Without claiming to "cure" torture and the after-effects of political violence, the Primo Levi Centre offers multidisciplinary care (medical, psychological, physiotherapeutic, social and legal), with an interpreter available if necessary, to improve the physical and mental well-being of its patients.
